Hello, my name is Lena.

I'm the owner of Goji Yoga Studio. I'm a yoga teacher (YTT280) and a sound bath practitioner, with over 500 hours of teaching, alongside Certificates in Sound Bath Therapy and Yoga Nidra. The idea of Goji Yoga Studio was born from a desire to share my passion for yoga with the community, and to allow other yoga teachers, just like myself, to do the same, while positively affecting the lives of others. In my own practice, I'm forever a student, constantly diving into the depths of meditation, yoga Nidra, sound bath, Reiki healing, and any other healing art that speaks to my soul. It's these explorations that I bring back to Goji, hoping to weave them into the very fabric of our shared space. So, when you step into Goji Yoga Studio, know that it's more than just a place to practice — it's a community where we're all supporting each other, growing together, and embracing the journey, one breath at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions

While all the classes we offer at Goji Yoga Studio can be beginner-friendly since yoga teachers offer modifications and suggestions, there are some classes that are more suitable for beginner level. Warm Gentle Hatha, Warm Gentle flow, Warm Slow Flow, Hot/Warm Yin, Warm Magic Stretch and Hot Stretch would be the ones to try first. Keep in mind that our warm classes are held at the temperature of 24-27C while Hot Classes are held at 28-30 C (which is still beginner-friendly in comparison to some hot yoga studio temperature that could go up to 40C).

Warm Power Flow, Hot Vinyasa Flow, Warm/Hot Yang/Yin and Hot Hatha are the classes which are more dynamic and challenging, and, overall, require good fitness and mobility. If you are new to Yoga, but have overall great fitness aptitude, you may enjoy the dynamic and challenging nature of these classes.

When signing up for a class, please check the description to have an idea of the style and level of difficulty. You do not need to bring your own mat, unless you want to. We have high-quality environmentally friendly beautiful cork mats at the studio. We also provide straps, blocks and mini towels. We clean/disinfect mats after each use with Benefect (hospital grade botanical disinfectant whose active ingredient is thyme oil which also continues to provide antibacterial and anti-germs effect on organic surfaces of our mats).

Having said that, we totally understand if you would like to use your own mat. Just let your yoga teacher know which spot you are going to practice on, and our yoga teacher will gladly take our mat away, so you can use your own.

At Goji Yoga we consider ourselves health-nuts 🙂 We want what’s best for our customers, and when it comes to practicing yoga on a cork mat, it is the best! Personally, I’ve been practicing on a cork mat for more than 3 years now. Not only does it make a difference for your practice (non-slippery, provides support and helps with balancing poses), it also is as environmentally friendly as it could be. Cork does not need to be chemically treated, so there are no harsh chemicals and toxins involved in the production of a cork mat. It is made from natural materials such as cork for the top layer and rubber – for the base. Moreover, when I say that I have been practicing on a cork mat for more than 3 years, I mean the exact same mat. It is designed to last, making it more environmentally friendly! Having said that, our mats at the studio – custom-made and brand new. Moreover, one of the cork’s wonders is that it is naturally anti-microbial and anti-fungal due to the suberin lining that acts as a barrier between the cork and anything that is on the mat. We disinfect our mats after each use with hospital grade botanical cleaners.

We are a boutique yoga studio, and the whole customer experience is important to us – from the moment you sign up for a class online to the moment you leave the studio after a class feeling balanced and vibrant. Most of us are so busy, joggling many responsibilities at once. Remembering to bring your mat is one less thing for you to worry about when you practice at Goji Yoga Studio. We also get complimented a lot on our custom-made cork mats that are non-slippery, hygienic and just a pleasure to practice on. The idea is that you just need to bring your awesome self; everything else is provided to you. You may want to bring your water bottle to stay hydrated during classes. In case you forget your water bottle, we got you covered, and we will gladly provide it to you as well!

Cleanliness of the studio is the top priority for us! We clean mats and yoga blocks after each use, and we clean the floors and surfaces daily! We also use a high-quality air purification system daily to complement the traditional HVAC system. We are also health freaks, and we wanted to find a cleaning product that does not contain any harmful chemicals. That is why for cleaning and disinfecting the surfaces we use Benefect. Benefect is a hospital grade botanical product that is a revolutionary blend that kills germs and bacteria as effectively as traditional synthetic disinfectants without any risk to health and environment.
